About Us

Group Health Physicians is a professional corporation, officially known as Group Health Permanente (GHP), and one of the largest multi-specialty group practices in the Pacific Northwest.

Our focus on prevention, evidence-based practices, and patient-centered philosophy translates to better health for our patients. Primary care-based, we represent 26 specialties and subspecialties.

We are exclusively contracted to Group Health Cooperative (GHC) to provide integrated care for nearly 500,000 people in Washington state and northern Idaho. Together GHP and GHC combine health care and financing to create a nationally recognized system.

Comprised of nearly 1,000 physicians, PAs, midwives, mental health specialists, and optometrists, Group Health Permanente was formed in 1997, after more than 50 years as a part of GHC. Today we stand at the forefront of medicine, continually innovating to meet our patients' needs.
